As we close this month’s theme of Room for Color, here is one more design that accentuates color by keeping things mostly white. When there is color in this home, it’s the exception and it really stands out…

You want to re-paint a room, but you're not sure if the color will look right—holding up a little color swatch only goes so far. ColorJive helps you paint the entire room in virtual space.

Upload a picture of your room—an evenly lit photo works best—and begin applying colors from the available palette. You can use the enormous palette from COLOURLovers to access a nearly infinite color palette, though you may have a little trouble replicating it at your local home improvement store. If that's the case, you can select from the official palettes of Benjamin Moore and Sherman Williams.

The free account limits you to three colors per pictures, and you're limited to saving one picture, although you can have three versions of it. The premium account is $15 per year and you can save up to 10 photos, 7 different versions of each, and use up to 5 colors per image—for those of you wanting to turn your room into a modernist painting.

Have your own favorite tool for checking colors or planning new home projects? Let’s hear about it in the comments.

We love white distilled vinegar. We don't love the way it smells.

But we love it. It's pretty cheap, it's non-toxic, environmentally-friendly, and you can use it to do (literally) like a thousand things in your home.

That on-again, off-again Asus Eee PC with Android OS, and 1GHz Snapdragon processor is, well, back on again. Asus now calls it their “secret weapon” and says it should arrive early next year for about $180 bucks.

Maybe all the interest in Android 2.0 got them interested again.

As a reminder, Smartbooks are just Qualcomm’s name for netbooks that use ARM-based processors, which are needed to run Android. (Acer actually ported Android to Atom processors for its Aspire One netbook). Nvidia is also pushing its ARM-based Tegra chip for Smartbooks. [Shanzai (translated)]

The makers of the Gerber Shard claim that their airplane-safe keychain tool can perform seven handy tasks. But for the life of me, I can only see three or four. Help me out here, commenters. [Gerber via Uncrate]

Just because you don’t have the space for a dedicated office doesn’t mean you’re out of luck. Today’s featured workspace is a multi-purpose space that covers everything from cocktails to spreadsheets.

Lifehacker reader mdparaiso lived in a pretty cool but very tiny apartment. How tiny? In the following pictures you’ll be looking at most of it. He’s turning the living room/kitchen space into a mult-purpose area that fills his computer workspace needs, entertainment needs, and even has room left over for a mysterious door and a reading nook. He describes the space:

I live in a very small space, so I’m forced to “multi-task” my space. On one half of my place, I have my home theater / office. On the other half, I have my kitchen / bar / library.

My credenza acts as my desk and houses the following:
Onkyo TX-SR674 receiver
Playstation 3
Apple MacBook 13″
Lenovo T61 (work computer)
Polk RM-series speakers
Samsung LNS4096D TV/Monitor
Logitech diNovo bluetooth keyboard with built-in touchpad (Mac version)
Logitech Harmony 550 remove
Apple Iphone 3G

The space is used about 30% of the time for work. Excel spreadsheets look great on a 40″ monitor (especially when displayed at 1920 x 1080 resolution). The rest of the time, it is being used for gaming (PS3) or random stuff via the MacBook. Everything routes to the Onkyo receiver via HDMI and fiber optic.

Hope you enjoy looking at my play/work/relaxation space.

Take a closer look at his small but well equipped space in the photos below:

If you have a workspace of your own to show off, throw the pictures on your Flickr account and add it to the Lifehacker Workspace Show and Tell Pool. Include some details about your setup and why it works for you, and you just might see it featured on the front page of Lifehacker.
